Hello Reader,

Sorry for the late newsletter today! The time difference got the best of me today. I just wanted to share some photos from Mt Fuji and Kyoto, and then we’ll be back to our normal newsletter articles soon! I’ve been to so many nice gardens in the last week, and here’s a small sample of photos.

Nemophilia blooming at the base of Mt Fuji. Was paired with a delicious cone of blue soft serve ice cream.

Oishi park in Kawaguchiko. Loved how these lines looked going around a curve in this garden.

The garden at the Ryokan near Mt. Fuji was filled with flowing water, moss, and maples. It also featured a foot bath with hot spring waters for a unique garden experience.

The gardens at Ginkaku-Ji in Kyoto were surprisingly well kept with a team of gardeners. It had a big monolith with a rock gardens, water, and the pavilion.

Not a garden but a deer park in Nara. Not pictured —them swarming and biting me.

Field Notes:

  1. Photos are from Kyoto, Fujiyoshida, and Kawaguchiko.

  2. Tomorrow I’ll be headed to the new Pokemon park near Tokyo and enjoying a cup or two of matcha.

Plotter’s Commons:

Have you started harvesting any food from your garden? I’m craving some freshly grown vegetables right about now.
