Hi Reader,

It’s been awhile since I’ve heard from you, and I have a quick question. Everybody has that plant that they just can’t stop growing each year, and I’ve been wondering what yours is. Is it that delicious Tomato variety, a stunning Dahlia, or a native plant that you love to spread to heal the ecosystem? We all have different reasons for gardening, and I have a feeling your answer to this question will teach me something new about you! What is the crop or plant that you just have to grow each year?

Personally, I have to grow the French Breakfast Radish each year. My actual breakfast is anything but French. It’s typically just a protein smoothie, some toast, and Japanese matcha. The French Breakfast Radish brings me joy every year with how quickly it grows and it’s so satisfying to have that early harvest from the garden.

Dear French Breakfast Radish, I wish I knew how to quit you.
